XPOST COLOGNE has taken up residence in a listed building dating back to 1895 – the former parcel sorting facility – where the interior of over 6000 m² comprises exhibition hall-cum-auditorium, conference centre and foyer, offering space for your exclusive event and accommodating up to 3700 guests. The historic building fabric is enhanced by modern additions, and the charming fusion of architecture guarantees a sensational backdrop for your event.
Event hall
The exhibition hall-cum-auditorium is a 4000 m² expanse without any pillars, providing the right dimension for any event. The size of the room can be adjusted and offers the flexibility for partitions of the required measurements for foyer, presentation and catering areas. The adjoining conference centre is available for breakout rooms, production management facilities or coffee breaks.
Event loft
Measuring 850 m² in total, the event loft is a vaulted cellar which is over 100 years old and holds about 500-650 people. With a height of 7.60 m, it makes a stylish and historic setting and is the optimum location for a wide and diverse range of events.
DOCK²
Hybrid location WITH CHARME …
The DOCK² event hall is located just 1000 meters from the Cologne Trade Fair Center and only a stone’s throw from the Rhine. Originally, the hall, built in 1851, served as a zinc-white site for the company Lindgens & Söhne. After a reconstruction phase of only 3 ½ months, great events have been made possible since November 2011 on 1,150 sqm of almost column-free floor space. Added to this is 900 sqm of outdoor space – including a fantastic terrace.

Feierabendhaus Knapsack
The Feierabendhaus is one of the most versatile venues in Cologne and a special location for business dinners for two or events for up to 1000 people, whether congresses and conferences, workshops and training sessions, product presentations and trade fairs, theatre productions and concerts, exhibitions and vernissages, company parties and anniversary celebrations, or private functions.
Built in 1956 by Cologne architect Karl Hell, the Feierabendhaus Knapsack is one of the most beautiful structures built in the 1950s. Thanks to its groundbreaking architecture and unique structural design, the listed building became the landmark of the Chemiepark Knapsack chemical industrial park.
A fitting stage:
The centrepiece of the Feierabendhaus is the large hall measuring over 700 m². It is a versatile venue with many potential uses for events of all kinds, boasting technology of the very latest standard, multifunctional room layout and full service package. The large hall can accommodate seating for up to 1000 people. It is fitted with the latest sound, lighting and conferencing systems and is equally suitable for galas, congresses and conventions.
Rooms for workshops and meetings:
The casino is linked to the Feierabendhaus Knapsack by the foyers. Fitted with state-of-the-art systems, it is perfect for relatively small conferences, workshops or seminars, but also for family parties and relatively small functions of all kinds. With seven rooms of varying sizes which can also be linked up if needed, it is possible to meet virtually any requirement. The casino is fully air-conditioned, networked, equipped with telecommunication and audio-visual systems, and lighting which can be controlled to suit the mood in any given case.
WARTESAAL AM DOM
Almost 100 years after the opening of the “new waiting room” in 1915, the “old waiting room” is now experiencing a renaissance, after more than one million euros were previously invested by Wartesaal Connection GmbH.
Wartesaal am Dom: “We want to offer events and gastronomy at a consistently high level. During the refurbishment and renovation, we made sure that the Art Nouveau architecture was preserved as far as possible to create a worthy setting.”
In addition to the hall for events (concerts, TV recordings, parties, etc.), more attention will be paid to the restaurant in the future.

Kunstlicht
A passion for light
An intense love of light, a supreme degree of creative potential, a wealth of technical expertise and many years of experience make Helmut Linde an authority on upmarket lighting.
After obtaining technical and commercial qualifications and having gained a wide grounding in the field, he went freelance in 1993. Five years later Helmut Linde started up kunstlicht and was one of the first entrepreneurs in Cologne to specialise in bespoke lighting. Extremely ambitious, often unconventional and keen to indulge his enjoyment of sophisticated systems, he is highly skilled at turning his creative concepts into reality. Having obtained his master craftsman’s diploma in electrical engineering, Helmut Linde always knows exactly how new lighting ideas can be carried into effect and frequently pushes the envelope in the process.
